I shot this little fellow through my glass sliding door and screen. I was inside and saw him land on a branch right in front of me...so I grabbed my camera and was able to take 3 pictures before something startled him and took off.

Remember this is through glass and screen, so the quality is pretty poor. I wish the one of him sleeping was more in focus. Oh well at least I tried.

WOW...those are SUPER given your circumstances!!! I like all of them but the one sleeping is precious!!! those birds are so small and move so fast, to actually see one sleeping seems and have it captured in a photo is a great feat!!!!

Annie....I can truly say it was sheer LUCK! And I feel very lucky to be there at the right moment in time.

Some of the best shots are down to luck Hiroshi. The first pic in particular doesnt look at all like its been taken through glass.......excellent clarity and detail.

You did well to capture the moment. Most magic moments are sheer luck.

Post processing can do allot to restore whats been lost through glass and screen, but it couldn't fix the out of focus of #2.

Mark and Rafael - thank for the encouraging comments.

Hummingbirds is one thing I don't see a lot of. 30 years in this house and I have seen two hummingbirds in the yard. For about 3 seconds each time. All three of these shots look fine to me. Even number 2.

Great captures, I would be tired too with all that wing flapping it does.;)
