Was at a nature reserve today, after a kayaking outing with family.
Well, I finally found a huntsman spider today, and with a meal to boot! No JS though. Apprciate any C&C. FZ10+Raynox 250 (some with 6T and Sigma CU), F8, 1/60s, 1 diffuse flash #1: Huntsman Spider top view ![]() #2: Closer view ![]() #3: Wider view ![]() #4: Look at the eyes....very different layout from JS ![]() #5:The third legs seems shorter than the rest ![]() |

Nice shots of a different spider, Tan. I too noticed, at the first glance itself, the way its eyes are arranged. Can we hope to see more pics, not only of spiders, from the nature reserve you have been to?

Wow! Up close and personal. Spiders are not beautiful in the accepted sense of the word, but they draw the eye...just can't help looking. Donna

I have wrongly IDed the spider. Its a Common Two-Tailed Spider, and not a Huntsman. This time round, only took this fella, the rest are not good photos. |
