Ever since going to Florida I have been going through pictures and this limerick is stuck in my head, so I am passing it on. Maybe then it will go away.

A wonderful bird is the pelican

His bill can hold more then his belican.

Nice captures Steve. #3 is very nice. It seems for "take offs" he needs a very long runway!:-)

Thanks for commenting. I did want to see how one of them would take off from the tree, but I was standing in midday Florida sun on the first day of summer and after not too long a time I gave up and went somewhere shady. I have other tree shots but wanted variety for the limerick. All pretty much the same; Big birds that should not be in a tree but are. The trees were at the edge of a channel so I guess if they fell they would hit the water instead of something hard.

Good. That means my theory of posting it to pass it on worked and it won't be in my head anymore. Or, at least I will have company.

I enjoyed that enormously, a nice chuckle. Also the " He can take in his beak" shot is really beautifully framed.
