Had a good opertunity on some good insect shots but i forgot my tripod and tele lens.

So all hand held with sweat flowing profusely.Sunday was 105 degree heat index

hottest day this year for my area .If you can find a place where alot of these flowers are blooming you'll find tons of insects having a feast . Let me know what ya think .

These 2 bump into each other a few times but kept feasting

Notice the cartoony character on the back

Hey whats up dude :G

Pappy, These shots are really good1 I like #3 and #1. It's amazing that you got two for the price of one in your #1 picture. I definitely know what you mean sweating profusely....I keep trying to be a"a lady" but taking pictures of "nature" calls for unusual positions, some perspiration in the hot sun and patience. Some times my neighbors drive by and just laugh at me.....Thanks for sharing some great pictures! bentleysmom

Nice and colorful, Pappy. Though you sweated it out, the insects must have enjoyed a warm day. No.3 composition is very good.

Thanks bentleysmom i know what you mean when people try and figure out what your photographing .When i pull out my DCR250 and tripod 3 inches from a bug or very small flower close to the groundit must look like im photographing dirt :G. The area i was in had hundreds of these tall succulent's just now blooming several times there were 3 to five insects on 1 flower . It was a field of dreams for macro :D.

Thanks Raghu i actually got several pics of #3 , he was making his way up 1 side when it reached the top and saw me it just froze there looking at my lens :G. Because of the wind this was the best 1 . Appreciateeveryones comments
