Default It's a learning process!!

OK - so I tried to take all the advice to heart, and went out today with enthusiasm. I set my camera into P mode, Intelligent ISO, ISO 200 max, spot focus, spot metering. I did a bit of exposure bracketing and came up with the following two pictures.
I think they are a vast improvement on my previous efforts - especially detail (resolution) and focus. I think I am learning!
Meet Mr & Mrs. P. Martin. Cropped from original. As always, any observations will be taken as lessons learned as I continue this journey!
