Man's faithful friend. Good capture of his facial expression.

He's about 4 years old and weighs about 65 pounds.. The picture makes him look bigger than he is. He Is starting to get the white chin (equivelant of humans turning gray I guess)... The photo in my avatar is the same dog taken about 8 months ago.. The photo below was taken about a week ago..

That's about what Mel looked like when I got him, at 9 months. Just wait until he grows into that collar. Due to circumstances beyond my control I found myself in search of a new companion dog to replace Charlie (see http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...270&forum_id=6 ). When I walked into the humane society Mel was jumping up and down nearly clearing the 4 foot tall cage he was in. Excited to see me I guess. When he waited until he was outside to do his business he had a new home. A snip snip later (something the humane society requires) he bacame a perminant fixture here.. One of the poudest days I've had with him was when I took him for his annual checkup he jumped up and snatched a cat out of the nurses arms... (sorry cat people, not a fan).. The cat wasn't harmed though, I wouldn't have let that happen, it was just startled (so was the nurse).
