Once a year my little village tries to get the centre of the earth.
Ok, it is one of the biggest sailing adventures on earth. - But for us and the children it is 1 week of: fiesta!
Theme of this year: oriental tales

Nice photos, but try to find better shooting angles, and use 1/3 rule :?

I usually switch the display on my fz5 to the mode containing 9 rectangles and put the subjet on one of the four interior corners, it helpsmaking nice compositions.

I like specially the last one with those two chicks full of mud .... :D

thanks - appreciated!
I did not use the rectangles at that time - it was just starting with the FZs.
Just comparing colours etc. to my old canon A70.
Jim-Tiger had a better mud festival!

Looks like a lot of fun to be had for the next week. Nice fun shots too. That autofocus works great on the FZ5 doesn't it. Pictures are extra sharp. Excuse the dumb question but where is Kiel, DE anyway. :?

Great shots Sven..... Kudos for your effort, energy and resourcefullness, I think the simplicity of #5 is my favorite but I like them all. ;)

Looks like a fun time for all. It's nice to see villages do something like this. Nice photos documenting it.

I liked all the shots Sven! Thanks for sharing. Jim

thanks for the comments!
Well....
Kiel is not a village in the common sense - 200000 inhabitants.
Located in the north of Germany, close to Denmark.
This town is falling into a deep sleep 51 weeks a year, but Hamburg is not far away.
In this specific week even people from Hamburg visit Kiel.

Nice shots, Sven. Great colors. Seems like people are awfully lightly dressed for late November in Kiel. Is it warm over there right now?
