Korumburra is a small town in SE Australia, about 3000 people I believe, surrounded by rolling hills. On this day they had their swap meet.
Some of the hills. The haze is caused by bushfires further north and east. ![]() ![]() At the swap meet you could buy cars ![]() toys ![]() old news, which is dearer than new news, being better and all ![]() old tools ![]() car stuff ![]() and look at some old cars ![]() More (including more cars) at http://rafael.zenfolio.com/p843661865 -- cheers Rafael |

Ted,
Not all those cars were from Korrumburra. They had come from miles all round. From Leongatha and Wonthaggi, Meenyian and Yarram, Lang Lang, Koo Wee Rup and Nar Nar Goon, Traralgon, Yarragon and Warragul. The football oval was covered in cars as was about half a mile of the South Gippsland Highway. The town was buzzing. Next best thing to a cattle sale at the yards. |

Verrrrry nice. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. Had no idea that Australia was so beautiful, always told it was sort of barren toward the interior, that only the coastline was nice. Beautiful old vehicles. The 1936 Ford pickup brought back memories. They were still pretty common even in the late 40's here. The red car, is that a Pontiac or a Chevy?
