I think they are sharp as well, first shot has the right hand side slightly soft, but due to lack of depth of field (low f number) I think.

I'm disappointed that the fz40/45 does not have a greater f stop than f8.

Last shot of daffodil, has wonderful white detail for most of the petals, did you compensate using exposure value control (ev) ?

I think in another post saly said to get great white control you have to aim to under-expose the shot
