Phil at DPreview has posted samples from the LX1. From the quick glimpse I've had so far (as im at work) they dont look bad.

Oops, HarjTT, I didn't see your post when I posted mine on the same subject.

The color looks good. I have two concerns.

1) Normally, I don't comment on noise but above ISO 100 it is definitely there. When I get home, I will run a couple images though PSP9 to see how well they clean up.

2) In a couple of the city scenes (#2 & #13) there is bad CA on the wide ends of the photos.

Auto exposure looks real good. In past experience (FZ1v2 & FZ20), Panasonic cameras tend to over expose so I have to use -2/3 or -1/3 EV. The samples are at 0 EV.

Can hardly wait to get mine!

Come on guys (and gals) show some excitement!

Enjoy life!

This is an a really helpful site if you want to see what any particular camera can do. The link is a page of a picture hosting site that allows you to select a camera and then view all the photos on that site by that camera! They have over 100 photos taken by the LX1. Granted, the photographers have likely fiddled with photos posted in Photoshop, but it does give you a really good idea of what one camera is capable of compared to any other. Enjoy!
