What add on lense for the FZ 30 is best for macros? I apologize, because I KNOW :?I have seen this already in Panasonic, but just couldn't find the post it was in. Would you mind repeating your opinions please? Is the wideangle that Panasonic makes for the 30 good for this? Thanks again...best regards,

for the 55mm threads on the FZ30, i'd go with the Nikon 4T and a 55-52mm step-down ring... if you want a little less magnification, the 3T is a good choice.

This will be my first real camera and I love macro, so I wan't ease of use and versitility... so should I get both? I've heard that the 3T is easier to use, but then the 4T has more mag, so is it practical to use one or the other in certain circumstances... It seems that everyone here has the 4T or the 6T so it must be better (:blah ![]() Anyone have a suggestion? Does anyone own both? Thank you, Nigel |

the 4T and 6T aren't better, just stronger. they're 3-diopter lenses, and the 3T and 5T are 1.5 diopter. the stonger lenses give you a closer macro (good for really small subjects), but at the expense of depth of field, so make your choice based on what's more important to you... magnification, or a deeper focus. if you can afford to get both, that's always a choice... and you can stack them to get a REALLY close look at your subject, if you want!
