thanks tchuanye,
these pictures were taken in my garden. I will have plenty of time to improve my technique. Sven http://www.geocities.com/seemolf/pictures/macro2.html ![]() The length of the following insect: 2mm ![]() |

thanks Jim!
After all this work on technique, I try to work on composition now. But this not so simple with objects around 2mm and a depth of field around 0,2mm. Sven |

Again, more excellent work, Seemolf.
It looks to me like that black ant is about to make a meal of a couple of unsuspecting mites or aphids! - Mick |

On board flash is less powerful than ext ones, diffusing and espec. bouncing reduces its power by far a great deal, but it's easier to manage.

schmintan,
no offense taken/intended! We are just having fun around here! But it is just as I said before. I am so happy that tchuanye, narmer and others post their views here and atdpreview. There are more comments over there, but it is much more delight to see the picturesin full size and with special arrangements at this site! ..and thethreads last longer on the top page. wow, Francesco! A full size views ofaphids!!! I will add one in the afternoon. Let's continue with the eyes of an aphid ;-) But I need a macro rail first (DIY). My main problems are not with lighting (I hope so). I am using tripods more and more.... Sven |
