This bronze statue created by by Nina Akamu is titled "Leonardo da Vinci's horse" and is 24 feet tall. 1 |

Nice shots of it, I would not have guessed it was that tall. My favorite angle is the second shot.

Found this pic on the web that puts things to scale. The first casting, made from Leonardo's sketches was erected in Milan Italy. In 1999 a second casting was made for Grand Rapids. |

Stunning sculpture!. I recently read a biography of daVinci and his failure to produce the hrse with his technology would have been a major disappointment for him. I wonder what he would think of this one. Thanks for the follow up to give us scale. Like Ted I like the second shot best.
