Default Monkey business

I had been to a hillside temple where monkeys abound. I'll post the pictures of the temple and associated scenery later, but I was so impressed with the cute simians that I want to post their pictures first. I am sure you will like these.

A trickle of spilled water is enough to quench the thirst of this young one:

This young one is watching what the elder one is watching:

He is ready for a duel:

Even the hard rock is a luxury sofa for them! Look at how elegantly reclining this one is:

Napping at noon:

A mature one, didn't mind my getting a little close to shoot:

Looks like it's just born, but already on to mischiefs:

Something to learn. Look at his broken bone jutting out! He carries on life as if nothing has happened! To be honest, I didn't realise this until I uploaded the picture on the computer.

To close with a happy ending, a cute shot of the monkey making a tasty meal of a banana peel:

Would appreciate your comments.

Raghu, these are incredible shots! Really beautiful. I like them all, but I agree that the last one brought a smile to my face.

It made me sad to see the baby monkey hurt. Great shots.
