Broke down and bought a monopod to give a try. This one was cheap ($39.99 50% off regular price) but it has a decent ballhead and carbon fiber tubes. Anyone have any tips for using one?
FZ15 mounted. ![]() ![]() Tried one shot with it. Rusty in the woods 18X zoom with about a 60% crop. (FZ35) ![]()

Thanks for the links Catalex. I was just hoping someone with real world experience would comment.

Where did you get the monopod for this price? I've been thinking about getting one myself as I hate carrying the tripod (so it always stays home in its carrying bag).

I bought a walking stick-come-monopod almost a year ago, not as fancy as yours, but found it hard to stop waving backwards and forwards with it

Humm, I just ordered one...is it really difficult to keep it from waiving back and forth?

If it gets to the point where you give up, then probably it is! I tried to cancel the order but couldn't. I guess I'll have to find out myself!
