Default new camera

Just got my "New" Panasonic DMC-FZ300. Just WOW! I didn't realize I was shooting all 4k burst pics today. I couldn't figure out why there was a video file with every pic I took today. I am now currently trying to find out how to turn it off, maybe I shouldn't. Also I was hoping to use my "old" software for loading to my PC. The camera loaded to a program I have never used and I can't find the 70 pictures I took waaaaaaaah. So I had to go out in my back yard and take 5 mundane pics just to see how to get them to load to the program of MY choice. Success! I am amazed at all the new to me features, buttons, menus, etc. etc. this "two" handed camera has. The constant 2.8 in zoom mode is awesome, everything came out perfectly focused. Just4clix aka Larry

G'day Larry

The 4k features on the current batch of Panny cameras provides some awesome features for each of us Panny users - and the learning curve is again staring us in the face!

The 4k 'on-off' is via the down-button on the rear "Menu-OK" circular control & then via the left - right selectors

As to the superb F2,8 constant aperture lens - I have been using it for 3 yrs and it's m-a-g-i-c in so many situations - really great stuff from Leica

ps- click here to go to the Panny web site & download the full manual

I would suggest taking the PDF to a print shop and getting an A5-sized coil-bound version printed ... maybe $20 or so - but well worth it

Hope this helps

Hi Phil, wondered if you had bought the 330/300. I have been thinking of it as the 200 is old now and getting cranky.
Not been here in ages, hope you are well.

Panasonic FZ200 + Panasonic FZ38 + Macro & Tele Kit (DMW-LC55 + DMW-LT55 + DMW-LA5) Panasonic FZ330.
