Since I dropped my old camera and broke it, I have been in the market for a new camera. My husband has the FZ5 , so after playing with it, I decided to go for the FZ30. As luck would have it, we found one at the Costco in Albuquerque (we live and travel in a motorhome, so mail is often spotty), so I bit the bullet and bought one last Thursday. I spent the first couple of days being completely intimidated by all the options, but yesterday, we decided to go to the zoo and see what we could get photo wise. Lots od mixed results, since the sun was really bright and the animals were pretty lethargic due to the heat, but I'm enclosing my 2 favorite shots (actually the same shot, cropped and lightened a bit). The first is the Tiger Habitat and the secon, in the next post, is the detail I pulled out of the ledge underneath the waterfall, where this beautiful tiger was resting.

Looks like you're off to a good start. I really like the second one.
