When I do a search for noise reduction software, I come up with many different programs. I have no knowledge of any of them. Any input would be appreciated.

Hey, Jerry, many people on these forums have high opinions of Noise Ninja and Neat Image. Both of these offer free versions with lowered functionality and aren't bank-breakers if you want to shell out for the full version.
I use the free version of Neat Image. The noise-reduction part is fully functional and it can work miracles. I've heard good things about Grain Surgery, too. Grant |

Jerry, Neat Image is a very simple and free programme that does a very good job on reducing noise. Most of my posts have been processed with Neat Image.

Thanks to all who replied. It seems to be a toss up between Neat Image and Noise Ninja. I have downloaded the freeware version of each and will will play around with them to see which I like best.
Once again thanks. It is great to learn from others. Jerry |

Jerry, I tried a few of them and found, as Ronny did, that Noise Ninja is very simple to use and gives very good results! Jim

Thanks Jim. I downloaded the demo plugin. Now I have to figure out how to use it.
