If it`s O.K. I have two Superzoom Pics (at least that) that were taken by a buddy of mine as we were standing at the Baden Airport and did see the Concorde land for the first time on this airport and for the last time of it`s active live. This was well before Pana cams for me ;-)
It was partially dismantled and transported to the Aircraft Museum of Sinsheim, where ist sits together with a Tupolev 144. So just in case some of the Aircraft buffs are in Germany, this might well be worth a trip. So I´m waiting for a vote on posting or not. Cheers, RealMash |

O.K.-here we go. First was in a medium low pass. I wish you had been there-this plane looked as elegant and freed from the laws of Gravity as I have never seen before. The Engine roar was very powerfull-much higher pitched than a normal turbofan, yet not as agressive as a Jetfighter. I hope all Exif Info is left there. All Pictures are copyrighted by Mr. Ullrich Jans, Munich.
Yes. I asked his permission ;-) Cheers, RealMash |

Here the Pilot is close to put it down, nearly at the beginning of the runway, although he landed there for the first time-and there is a long runway. This guy was damn good, he knew it, and had to show, because he wanted to show what the plane could do in capable hands. It was his way of doing the one-finger-salute to the people who put the plane out of service.
Btw-there where doezens of real Plane spotters and several Helicopter mounted TV crews...the event was broadcasted on tv also. Cheers, RealMash |

Here there is too much thermal induced Movement in the Air-it looked that blurred even to the naked eye...

And here the Plane geeks are around the plane, the guests have disembarked, and the pilot and the crew are parading on the Plane...there was some champagain involved, for sure...
They celebrated that incredible plane and their chance to be involved with it, for sure... This Plane sits next to the TU144 in a Museum nearby, btw, if someone is interested ;-) Concerning the Pics-the cam is not up to our new Standards, it was nearly as expensive as my FZ30 when I bought it. But Ulli did a pretty good job with the Equipment of that Time-a little more than three years ago. Thats how Time flies. Cheers, RealMash |
