I'm just very beginner with digital imaging. I took this picture in Finland last weekend with my new PanasonicDMC FZ3.Hopefully i get some good tips from other FZ3 owners in this Forum.

Excellent picture, I would say (though the general advice is not to point towards light source).Despite the brightness of the sun, the other detailsstand outvery well and the footstepshave come outso well.

You may title it "towards light"? Hope your camera takes you there (brightness, I mean).

On second look, I find the footsteps coming towards the camera, away from the light. So, please ignore my suggestion about the title.

Yes, you're right. The footsteps are coming away from the light. Thanks anyway.

Nice pic! I thought if the lower half can be brighten up, it may look better.

I hope you don't mind that I PS your pic and repost it, to illustrate what I mean....

Somehow, I like the first photograph - it gives the real surreal appearance! Of course, it is a matter of individual preference. However, theframe is well composed and the pic has come well. You can be proud of yourself and your camera! Congrats!

The first picture is more "realistic", because this time in year here in north, the sun don't shine very long, and won't get so high up in the sky. But if i go to take a photo from this place at the spring, the snow would look like the second picture.

Heh heh! learned something new....I stay in the equator and we don't have snow here.....always thought snow appeared bright white......
