It's the angle which makes this shot so interesting.

Max-Pain, you somehow got the jump on me. Today only ,I was thinking of doing macros of eyes. BTW I don't have a girlfriend but I have many friends who are girls. The key is to capture the reflection and expression. I am itching to do it, now when I have seen the result of one such attempt. :|

well i'm nobody to be teaching cause thats my first decent eye shot but i'll tell you something

the camera and the photographer(i.e. you) will be reflected as well!

thats why i took this angle for the picture. i first tried some pictures during our lunch at school and when looking at them i realized what looked like a black iris was in fact the FZ20's reflection head on, and then i noticed myself and the background in her eyes. so that ruined the shots.

best bet is to take the picture at an angle and watch the reflection on the eyes so you know you're not there:arrow:
