Osprey (The Lazy Way)
It has been a while since I went down to the lake to visit with the Osprey's. I saw about 6 different ones but I was being lazy and didn't want to get out of my car. Here are a couple of them. The lazy way from the car. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

They are amazing. You have taken landscape photos and pulled those crisp Osprey photos........was that just cropping, if so, how come I can't do it!

Hi Fred
I am not to good with words but I will try to explain. I try to tell the story of the hunt. When I find something ( Normally with my binoculars ) I try to get close enough for a far away shot but yet close enough to show where I found the animal. Then I try to figure out the best way to stalk in closer for the close up shots. I always use fast burst mode. The idea is "This is where I found him or her and here is a close up". When I take the far away shot I try to make sure folks can see the terrain so they can imagine the stalk to get closer. When I download the photos I pick the best far away and use it as the base photo. Then I take the best close up and cut it out and past it on the base photo. When I have a client with me on a hunt I will include a photo of them taking a picture of the animal. My clients take home a photo album of their hunt. Here are a few links to see what I am talking about. http://www.camerahunts.com/photogall...animals003.jpg http://www.camerahunts.com/photogall...er/deer007.jpg http://www.camerahunts.com/photogallery/elk/elk007.jpg TOTALLY WACKY roger FZ 30, Nikon TCE17, QuikAim Max RDS, Zeiss Digiscope/Sony W7 Bootneck3 wrote: Quote:

I have tried but cannot match the crispness you have achieved against a clear sky. Excellent shots.
