I have posted some shots of one of these birds taken with the TCON-17 attached to my FZ150. So my FZ35 does not feel left out, this shot is taken with that camera and TCON-17. Shot RAW, in the rain, at ISO 800. You can click on it and see a few more shots also, including two macro shots of an owl pellet. Those two were taken at ISO 400.

Nice shot, Steve. He has turned his head 180! It is also interesting to note that the pattern on his wings look like flying birds.

Good eye Raghu. I didn't even notice that.

That's a great shot, Steve. ISO 800 with TICON 17, wow. Bigger WOW if it was handheld.
Raghu, good observation. Thanks Bob |

Very cool Steve - I've never seen a bird like that; you've captured it really well.

I used a monopod Bob. Handheld is possible but the percentage of shots I like drops. As far as ISO 800; I would rather have enough exposure than a lower ISO as you get a lot more noise when you have to lighten up pictures in post-processing due to a low ISO. At least in my opinion. Steve

That's such a great shot! The intense white surrounded by the dark background is beautiful!
