Hello,
I want to buy a teleconverter for my panasonic dmc fz7. What is good teleconverter for this camera. Is there anybody with experience with this camera and teleconverters ? Is the raynox 2020 a good product ? Thanks, regards Taco |

Review CK's page on teleconverters. For your FZ7, I believe you'll need an adapter. I don't have the link but maybe Genece or someone will post it...

Here is a link for an adapter that works better than the original adapter...or it is reported that it does.
While the Raynox 2020pro is not a bad lens, it has a small rear pupil which causes vignetting on most FZ cameras....The FZ 7 may work pretty well with it... but it will need to sit as close to the camera lens as possible......You asked for an opinion ...mine is get this adapter in the 55mm size and a tcon17. http://www.pemaraal.com/fz7ac.html |

The olympus tcon17 1.7x tele has been shown time and tiem again to work very well with the fz series. It has 55mm rear threads so will require either a 52-55mm step up ring (~$10) to fit the stock 52mm fz7 adapter or a 55mm pemaraal fz7replacement adapter (~$30). I strongly recommend the latter for its metal or delrin construction and it will place the tcon17 closer to the fz7 lens than using a step ring.

I second the recommendation of the tcon17. I just received one in the mail.
I haven't gotten the chance to really test it out yet, but it is a substantial lens with a nice build quality. I also got the Pemaraal adapter and the fit and finish is great. Oh yeah, and check here to see some test images of the tcon17 in action: http://www.pemaraal.com/compare8.html There is some vignetting under 3x zoom, but that doesn't really matter since you'll be using the higher zoom end anyway. |

Many thanks for the information and advise,
I have read the following on http://www.pemaraal.com/fz7ac.html: "The FZ755 is recommended for use with 55mm filters and extension lenses including those made by Panasonic. Olympus also offers a wide range of 55mm extension lenses. The FZ7 lens cap will not properly fit this adapter, a 55mm lens cap is recommended. " So i need for the olympus teleconverter: -the FZ755 -and a 55 mm lens cap, i don't understand this? What is this and where can i buy it ? Regards, Taco |

Speaking of lens protection, many users keep a uv filter and adapter on the camera at all times for protection. The uv filter will not effect photo quality. |
