Can't Decide which one go with : (Old Version or New Version)
$130 - TZ3 at Office Depot on closeout $230 - TZ5 at J&R.com an Authorized Panasonic Dealer & Hopefully a Reputable Seller The extra $100 is no problem, but I probably won't use Video (Sound output doesn't sound too good) and I usually end up changing cameras every few years (but then I haven't found a really great one yet) I do like, that in now has face recognition & improved sensor, but is that alone worth $100 ? I will be using it mostly for trips, at parties, and for FUN Appreciate Input |

Have you considered the TZ4? I have onewhich I bought at Costco for $269.99. A friend of mine has the TZ3 andI thought it was much slower. Haven't seen the TZ5 for comparison though.

Go for the TZ5, if not for anything else then the superior LCD with twice the resolution.
And if you ever wanna capture a movie you would kill for zooming while filming. |

Figured best way to decide was to just pick one up from a local store with a very good return policy.
Not a sunny coastal day, but shots in IA on the TZ5 look very good, but so do the pictures on the TZ3 in Scene2 mode - Still need to take more sample pictures. Found best TZ3 price at Jr.com - Link through Microsoft Cashback and you can get the TZ5 for around $230 http://search.live.com/cashback/prod...18003/11687940 The LCD does look nicer on the TZ5 and it is a little smaller than the TZ3. :? I'm so confused! Is there any way to turn OFF digital zoom in IA mode ? |

Bought a TZ5 yesterday (TZ15 here in OZ) to supplement my FZ20.
About 20 shots so far & no complaints at all. |
