Very nice shots. Just out of curiosity - as I am just starting out with these shots - do you use a tripod for taking the animal close ups?

clint any post processing or straight out of the camera?
And what were your saturation/ contrast/ sharpness/ noise reduction settings. The 3rd pic really snaps out for me, that's what I would like my snaps to look like. |

If that doesn't quite do it I go into the Tuning Tab and tweak the shadows-highlights-fill light. That's usually about all I do. Nothing to elaborate. I was messing with in camera settings and I think I left it on +2 sharpness - the were on zero. I normally have it set sharpness +1 and NR -1

Thank you and iso 100 and any filter on it?

No UV filter - still deciding on whether I want to keep it.
But I'd definitely get one in order to protect the lens.
