These shots were taken handheld over 15 minutes on a brightly sunlit early spring morning with the fz5 and the Raynox dcr-250 +8 diopter macro lens. The focus or working distance was about 5". Aperture was set at f8 to get the greatest dof. Complete set at http://www.ishots.net/pussywillow/ The dcr250 vignetts below ~3x zoom with the fz5.

Nope, Hiroshi, it looks fine to me.
Great shots, Fred. I yet have to experiment with my DCR-250. |

Hiroshi - Don't know what's going on with the pixelation. No problem on this end with my generic crt 17" monitor.
Rainer - Thanks. I really don't use the dcr250 much because it's just too damn powerful and you can't back off to below 3x and get proper framing. But it sure can go in and get some interesting stuff you would never see otherwise. Lots of bright sunlight helps a great deal. |

I'm still amazed of what the FZ5 is capable of. Lucky me, I also have one. |

Thanks for al the nice comments. Yes, the magical world of macros is a marvelous place. And the fz series, with the help of an achromatic close-up lens, does a wonderful job of bringing it to us.
