Hi FZ30 owners
![]() I have three questions re the lens: 1. Is the lens threaded? 2. What thread size? 3. Can it accept accessory lens? Many thanks in advance for anyone who responds esp given that Christmas is just around the corner! ![]() |

1. Yes
2. 55mm 3 Yes, panasonic has both wide angle and teleconverter lenses available but you can also use others. There is a comprehensive thread here somewhere that shows how well the other model lenses perform on the FZ30 |

found it:
http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=23 I just got my FZ30 the other day and ordered a 55 - 62mm step up ring so I could use my Nikon 6T close-up lens. Preliminary testing last night proved to be very good. |

Hello, my friend! Saw your post and here's a bit of info I posted in another topic. Pretty close to same question there too. Threads are 55 mm. Panasonicsupplies a 1.7X LT-55 tele and a wide angle as well. Can't comment on the wide angle but the tele works like a hot dam!

The FZ30 works also very well with the Raynox DCR6600 wide angle converter. You can either get the original one with the 52mm thread and attach it onto a 55/52 CRing, (LoveLife, a forum member here, sells those and other accessories on ebay as jk-consultants) or you can get the new version with the 55mm thread specifically created for the FZ30, but it costs $50 more. I got all my lenses and accessories with a 52mm thread (including the DCR6600, polarizer, skylight, Nikon 4T close-up, etc.) and always keep my CRing on.
