does anyone else get any red dots on their images? does anyone know the cause and cure for these errant pixels. i have 2 and they appear only on the jpegs i think (fairly certain). thanks nicco

I had my camera fixed because of hot pixels in the center of images, now I haveblue and red ones on one side but I can live with it.

It seems like the Panasonic CCDs are a bit prone to pixel threshold errors - I had to get my sensor replaced last year for a set of 6 clustered pixels misfiring. (I still get some random 'hot pixels', but the fairly constant red dots I used to get have been fixed by the CCD replacement).

Yes it has happened on my less than a week old Panasonic FZ30 too. Here're the images, scaled down to fit this page and a 100% crop. These were shot in RAW mode as well as TIF mode and it seems to be there too, so it isn't just the JPGs that're affected. I think I can live with it since I normally would post process my images.Whole image, reduced to 800 by 600 pixelsRed pixel at 100% crop(circled in black)
