Well its Chinese New Year, and usually we celebrate it on the eve with a reunion dinner........and this Lynx also planned to have its own reunion dinner....though by himself (loner!). Not sure what it ate, but it was a real flat insect.....not sure how much it was into it when I saw it.
Its a montage and posted afew of it in full. Anyway, appreciate your comments! I was also curious about the reverse lens technique. Besides, didn't the spider bother with the flash? Something like "C'mon, I'm eating!"

Thanks Jim, Wadge and Jose!
Well, reverse lens is basically reversing a 35mm lens to the camera to act as a very powerful close up lens. For a 50mm lens, its reported to be about >+20 dioptre. I use a Minolta 50mm F1.7 lens. I reverse it using a reverse coupler (male-to-male) thread to screw on the lens to the end of the FZ. As the 50mm lens is 49mm thread, and I have a phayee 62mm thread, I have a 62-49mm step up ring between the coupler and the prime lens. The set up is here ![]() wadge1 wrote: Quote:

Great Shots, as always from you, Tchuanye.
José I think it would be heavy if he was using the plastic panasonic hood, but that's not the case |

Thanks Narmer.
Jose, the set up is not too straining for the camera. I would say it won't be too different than attaching a telecon or wideangle lens to the FZ camera. Thats the physical part. To take pics with the set up is a challenge as the DOF is real shallow, and any slight movement, and the focus is off. Thus, many missed shots....but when you getone that is in focus...the results are rewarding. |
