Hi everybody,
Last year i bought an FZ5 (my first real camera), and have since then been trying to get the same quality of pictures from the camera as you guy's seem to be producing without any problems. Since the beginning i've been trying some macro photography using a few cheap diopters, never getting the results i wanted and now 2 months ago i got myself a raynox DCR150, and a raynox DCR250. The folowing pictures have been taking with the dcr250 and using the difussor out off the Transportable Macrolight (zero budget)tread These small creatures (5mm) where in abbundance available on the rodendrom bush today. If anybody's got there name please let me know. (of course any remarks are welcome) ![]() 1/60s / f8 / iso 80 / 6mm-35mm equiv:36mm ![]() 1/60s / f8 / iso 80 / 43.3mm- 35mm equiv:260mm ![]() 1/60s / f8 / iso 80 / 25.1mm- 35mm equiv:151mm ![]() 1/60s / f8 / iso 80 / 35.9mm- 35mm equiv:216mm ![]() 1/80s / f8 / iso 80 / 72mm-35mm equiv: 432 mm |

You asked for the name:
Rhododendronzikade. Graphocephala fennahi. should be something like: rhododrendron cicada in english. This colourfull insect came to europe from north america in the 1930s/1960s. You should try to take shots of the wings, they have an interesting colour too. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild%3A...de_2006_08.jpg Good shots of this small insect. I like to see the texture in the eye. The dcr250 is not an "easy" lens, but you managed it! Sven |

as soon as the weather permits i'll try to take a picture of one of them with its wings expanded, although that sounds easier than it is because whenflying these insects arerather fast. Ronny |

Very nice results Ronnie, and I bet they could even be improved (especially in the Post processing compartment).
