thanks for the kind words Francesco!

I try to follow the masters and use a flash bracket, external flash with bounce card and a handheld second slave flash in some cases. The internal flash is completely covered by the sensor. Sven |

Impressive - and al ittle different than a lot of macro shots I see in that there's more background in these - makes for very nice shots indeed!

thanks again!
I try toinclude some characteristic backgrounds sometimes, Suze. We have seen so many blurred backgrounds that we nearly forget the natural environment. The first one looked like a strange rocket to me, Michael. Mushrooms have fantastic colours sometimes. There will be a short series on this subject soon. ..here it is: (no extra posting) http://people.freenet.de/seemolf/mushroomColour.html The xacti was sold for 149 Eur for a short time, Emmanuel. This was the former price of some good achromats! I was told that we cannot use the close macro for shy and dangerous objects. So the picture with the hornet had to be done! Jerry, if you manage to come close to living objects it is not so difficult to take such shots. Animals are not frightened by slow movements and the camera covers my eyes. You can even touch some dragonflies - some of them lift up in this case and land on my hand......... Sven |
