Saw this spider, and found the web interesting. Focus is on the web.
Appreciate any views of what you think? FZ10+6T+Sigma CU, Ext flash, ISO 50, F8, 1/125s #1:Web ![]() #2 I like the web pattern contrasting with the background 'spiral' (well almost) pattern ![]() |

Great compositions.
The only lack is the aliasing patterns on and around the web lines (maybe too much USM applied by Neat Image?) but these can be seen only from40cm from the monitor. Thanks for sharing your impressive work |

i like the focus on the web. it would be there even if you focused on the spider, but not so clear. the focus on the web highlights it against the blurry, darker background, and there's just enough DOF for the underside of the spider to be pretty much in focus as well... well done!

I really don't know how to make good pictures with "good" DOF :?. What kind of parameters can I change to change the DOF... I'm fresh
