Thanks all for your nice comments.
Basically, this kind of photos falls in the category Lucky Shots, because marathon runners are so fast that with 72mm you have toprefocusmanually, wait until they're almost in your sharpness zoneand then use fast burstmode to catch them. Maybe one photo out of twenty is usable. To Mrclean06: I have used a mild noise reduction,but because of the strong crop (portrait cropped from landscape original) I couldn't be too aggressive otherwise I would have gotten the VenusIII-effect :-))!
