Citizen Kane is largely about WR Hearst, the one time owner of Hearst Castle, the subject of these pictures. If you want to know where the rosebud comment comes from, you shouldwatchthe movie.

Thanks, I will have to watch the movie. The statues in the last pic are original (according to the tour guide). The place was interesting to visit but, even if I had that kind of money, there is no way I would want to live in a place like that or surround myself with the kind of people he did. The only thing I would really want from that place is the view and one of the swimming pools. Ok, I would take the Egyptian statues.
