Though I read here often and post comments, this is ny first attempt at posting photos. My main interests are old barns as they are fast disappearing in the Halton Hills area of Ontario where I live and being replaced by ugly subdivisions!!!!

Hi! Annie, Beautiful photos, love all of them. I too like old barns, and even old homesteads that are now just falling apart and deserted. I often wonder if only they could talk, the tales they could tell. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing. Jerry |

thanks a lot...I lived in Lafayette, LA, more than 25 years ago when I was in another life and with a different partner...but I do wish then I had a camera to capture what I saw coz I remember seeing so many things that seemed out of time and everything else and I wish I had a camera to have recorded it all...still have the images in my mind for whatever that is worth!!!

sorry if this sounds harsh, but if you have posted the pics Im sure you want some feedback.
the first image is terrible: foreground is all but blacked out, no definition, left hand side is out of foucus, bland sky, poorly framed (branches on left). No redeeming features. The next shot of the branch is out of focus and just bland. The barn shot in colour does look better in greyscale, though the image is noisy, using an IR effect would possibly of enhanced the image more than the greyscale. The grey cloud shot is just that, grey. Don't be put off by these comments, as time goes by your shots will improve. Take a little more care with framing and indeed subject matter dave |
