The farmers are busy now cutting cane to replant for the next three years of cane.

Another field, these fields like many agriculture crops cover thousands of acres, but are slowly disappearing due to urban crawl and economic factors. Many fields I re-member are now large subdivisions and part of the communities. Every year it seems we lose another field.

Thanks Jerry, brings back memories. When I was a kid in Jerome, Arizona every year some of the familes in town would make their yearly sugar cane trip. Best I can remember it was fun to chew and really tasted great.
