Some pretty impressive Moon shots here. I just bough an FZ20 and haven't had a chance to photograph the Moon yet. However, based on some initial shots, I think noise will be a problem. I might also have a problem with the Sony 1.7x teleconverter since it's style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffffff"attachedto a 52mm Raynox adapter with a 52-58mm step up ring.
I'd like share a shot taken with my H1 + Sony 1.7x tele, hand held, cropped over 100%. |

Hello Tullio, nice "moonshot"!I am using an FZ30, the TCON-17 (as recommended by Squirl033, he uses an FZ20 and is very knowledgeable about TCONs) , which fits right onto the lense because it is 55 mm, Noise can be an issue if you photograph the moon againsed a blue sky (which can be rectified with some success) I prefer this detailed look though. But not so much noise againsed a darker sky.Either way the results are always exciting! My photo looks a bit small on the page here I don't know how toreduce it from the original to look the same as yours, it comes back as too big to be posted. Seemolf's photos are spectacular from earlier on in the thread.
All the best Al |

This is a nearly full frame shot downsized to 700*700 pixels.
The sky was not dark at this moment, but I had to be fast (cloud alarm!). But you can't compare this shot with a 10* teleconverter (plus FZ5 6* zoom) directly to your excellent shots! Sven http://www.geocities.com/seemolf/tec...sAndTicks.html |

Thanks, Al and Sven for your comments. So, let me surprise you, then. This is the original Moon shot. As you can see, it was taken indaylight and the noise is pretty much under control (even after editing it in Picasa). The H1 is indeed a very capable camera!
