Hi, i have a new TZ7 and am delighted with it, the question i have is that i bought it as i have seen pictures from one of these with a very wide angle setting used which can have the effect of curving edges of pictures of objects like cars for instance. I would like to know what settings i should use to achieve this effect??

You have 25 mm wide angle in the ZS3. Zoom out (zoom wheel totally to the left) and try different modes and scenes until you get the desired effect.
Remember: the closest to the subject you are, the more distortion you'll get. Good luck. |

Hi Ordo, the camera is TZ7, is this the same as you are suggesting with the wheel to the left?

It's the same camera.
Europe: TZ7 USA: ZS3 Asia: ZS3GK My advice is that you try with different modes and sceneries. Take a couple hours outside and shot a hundred picks or so. Be methodic. It's fun. Latter you can chose the best and you can see the settings in PhotofunStudio or other software. Good luck. |

Thanks Ordo, do you think using macro zoom might give some distortion used in normal pics?

You bet it. But you'll get blurred backgrounds.
