It's been a busy easter weekend, one of the things was a visit to a butterfly farm.
![]() At the edge of protected nature area "Zwaakseweel" middle in the zeeuwse polders you find butterfly garden "Berkenhof". With it's 1400m² its the biggest of the Netherlands. All images taken with the FZ5 Enjoy - Ronny/Rosemarie ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I enjoyed your butterfly shots Ronny, they are one of my favorite things to shoot but I do not see a lot of them. I have never been to a butterfly garden but I am going to go to one at the first opportunity.

Lovely series. Well captured. I particularly enjoyed the butterfly with the concentric circles, never seen one like that.

These are very nice. You had a nice selection to work with. You say this is the largest butterfly farm in the Netherlands. How many others are there may I ask?

Very well done, Ronnie. I don't know of a butterfly farm in my area, so it is interesting to know about them.

thanks tcook, it is sure a worth a visit.
[line] thanks rafinmlb, if I'm not wrong it's an owl butterfly the shot above has it with its wings open. [line] thanks mark, in Belgium were having more than normal, just the effect of the real (not existing) winter, took these two (with another camera - sorry) a few days ago. ![]() ![]() [line] thanks annie, I can only concur they are only so easily scared. [line] thanks happy peasant, just searching the web I found 4 others in the Netherlands and I also found 3 in Belgium, probably missed some to. So in a radius of about 150km I've got 8 :? [line] thanks bayourebel, I never expected to have this many in my neighborhood. |

Very nice set of butterfly pictures. The composition and clarity of #6 really stands out to me.
