Hi all,
I am not a PhotoShop user though maybe someday. Right now, I use PSP8 so I experimented with Text. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to edit the text beyond just laying it on the photo. As they say in Steve's home state, Sunny Beaches! Oh well... This is about a 1/40 crop of original photo as I was quite far from the aviators. |

Nice capture at the distance you were from.
It shows some CA though (green tinge). They do look like they are standing on the water though. |

Many thanks, vIZnquest!
Yes, I agree. There is some CA in the photo. Actually, it has gone a few rounds with PSP 8 trying to improve it. I just really liked the two fowl and their reflections. If anybody wanted the original JPG, I would be happy to email it to them ![]() One thing I am learning about the FZ30 is this...if you shoot into/near the sun, CA/noise noticiably increase. This did not occur with my oly c2100uz or E20 (which unfortunately "expired" and was sold for "salvage"). When I was shooting, I also had Oly B300 attached trying to "bring in" the fowl. With Valentines coming up, I have made a few "VD" cards with the photo! :-) Though I love its zoom and image stabilization, I need to become more familiar with the "limitations" of the FZ30 and shoot "around them". Hmmn.....I guess those two never learned to swim?:blah:
Backlit subjects give fits with CA, especially against a light background. I have trouble with it also with light colored subjects that are in bright sun with sun behind me. I finally got a beautiful pic of a Mockingbird....it was on an overcast day so I wasn't paying much attention to the position of thesun. Limbs that couldn't be cropped out were lousy with CA.That one will get worked over with PS someday. |
