The top of Bears Hump is inhabited by these tiny critters, known as pocket gophers. They caught a wiff of a hiker's lunch. Contrary to park rules which says do not feed the animals, the hiker couldn't resist and threw out a few peanuts.
Awww! That's a cute animal :? I think number 2 is one of those few shots were you didn't want the shallow DOF. Just imagine how cool the "little cute animal" would look in a portrait that looks different than the human eye. I had been using Helicon focus for aiding in macros' shallow depth of field with great results (I'll post later about it). You basically take multiple shots with different focus points in the frame and then "sandwich them together. You can do it in photoshop using layers but this program fixes borders and "senses" the objects in the picture. Just my 2 cents.
