Hi everybody,
I havent been around in the last couple of weeks because I volunteered at the Fair & Rodeo for the Extension office. My wife and I got a chance to go and just enjoy the evening last Wednesday and got these shots. At first I was disapointed because I couldn't get the Shutter Speed's I needed to freeze the action in the Rodeo shots, but after I finished processing them, I think the blur actually works to the photos benefit insomecases. Let me know what you think. The light was really low and I had to use a lot of PP on all of the Rodeo shots. In fact I had to lighten some of them just to see what I had. Igot as close tothe lighting and what I actually saw asI could. Hope you enjoy and as always, C&C is welcomed and appreciated. That's how I learn. Don ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Don, great work. The carnival rides came out great and love the rodeo action. I too think the blur in the last one adds to the action feeling.

Thanks Jerry. I'd like to be able to freeze the action but I'm not willing to give up my FZ and can't really affordall the lenses it would take to match the FZ's reach anyway.

Don, Nothing wrong with any of those shots! Especially considering the lighting conditions. I thought the rides looked clear and sharp and the rodeo shot was very good, the rider was well focused and the blurring makes you appreciate the action! Jim

Thanks LoveLife for the effort. I just about beat the photos to death with PP work and was afraid I'd go to far. The after looks better.
Thanks for your comments Jim. The lighting was definately on the dark side. Some of the shots in the other post were so dark, I had to lighten them just to see what I had. I was suprised with the detail I was able to bring out with PP. Don |
