While getting into the car found I had a hitchhiker sitting on the front windshield. I had never shot the 'under carriage' of a grasshopper / or locust sooooo. Jim

JIM!!, YOU ARE BEING INVADED :ak47:!!!!!!! You need to run where it's good and cold, say...up here where I live! Rest assured those criters are not here. On the other hand, you could and roast the sucker then dip it in chocolate :D

Thanks John, Almost looks like he's wearing body armor! Jim

Kevin, Is there anything that lives in that 'cold'? Watch your mail, I took your advice and dipped this critter in chocolate along with his gang and mailed them to you for Xmas! Jim

Not often you get that kind of opportunity. You took really good advantage of it.

Excellent photo, even if the subject is yucky. It's great when it gets cold and they die off - I get so tired of cleaning their remains off of my windshield. Though the worst time I think I wiped out half of some poor bee-keeper's stock.

This is a totally different picture of the hopper, Jim. Good you were ready to catch him on your camera. Very nice shot - with sky as the background, yes, it looks like alien invasion.

That's why we carry our cameras with us all the time. Never know when we might get a nice shot like that. I picked up a hitchicher just like that a couple of weeks ago, but I was going about 75 mph. Oops, nophoto opportunity that time.
