Hi! Took a photo walk this Sunday at a nearby streamandfound this target.
It'squite a fascinating bird, it doesn't look like a seabird (no webbed feet etc) butit's a great diver and can 'run' on the bottomto find agood meal. Obviously, itdoesn't fear very cold swiftly-flowing water either:-) I could get fairly close by hiding in the trees and using the TCON17 in 3MP EZ mode. |

Nice shots. I like the details in the one on the top right hand corner - the feathers are very clear.

Thanks Ladyhawk! Yes, in the upper right picture I had a moment of sun that helped getting a sharp image.
Otherwise, the dipper is shy so it's hard to comeclose for detailed shots. Shooting handheld at max tele with TCON17 in dim light is certainly a challenge! |
