Ah, you are so right. It's just that it's fun to take snow pictures and I really want to see how the FZ30 handles in it. But we haven't had any snow yet (and they are predicting possible snow this weekend but I'm going to be away for the long weekend. It'll all be melted by the time I get home :sad

Sorry to take so long to reply, tudacee. I was away all weekend. Anyway, I don't really know for sure what the sculpture refers to specifically. I've heard that it harkens back to Latvia's pre-Christian pagan period and the struggle against evil. Notice the serpent-like creature underfoot. After their independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, there was an explosion of new artistic expression. I think this is an example of that.
