VERY nice, Francesco... love the tiger especially. looks like the FZ20 is still serving you very well indeed! did you use a teleconverter for those shots, or just the zoom?

Hi!
Beautifull pics, all of them, but I like the third best-the eyes where nothing human is to be seen, a complete strange emotion. Something like cool, reckless calculating and mercilessly focused. Don“t get me wrong-I love cats-as long as I can cuddle them. These eyes seem to say: You try, you die! Very impressive! Cheers, RealMash |

Thank you Roger, Squirl033 and RealMash.
No teleconverter (I don't have one), Squirl033,only the FZ20. I also have a very good screen size (1024x768 or a few less) version of the Tiger. Very nice that I could manage to eliminate the two bars with good results... I don't know RealMash, maybe I am biased, but those eyes don't transmit aggressive feelings to me,only a certain sadness for a life behind the bars. I have not time to tell the vicissitudes of the Zoo in Napoli. Anyhow when I am there I think about photos and enjoy the visit, but there are a number of contrary feelings about these beings imprisoned for no crime, and who probably will never enjoy freedom again. The Loepard had just eaten some chickens and I also touched ity through the bars and he did not react at all... Nar |

Narmer, all are fantastic, but more than the big cats, the emu just stuns me! Excellent clarity and composition.

Hi Francesco
As always my friend superb shots - Tigers are my favorite big cats and thats a lovely shot of one but the Leopard shots is just awesome. Fantastic detail and clarity on all the shots esp as your shooting with the animals in a cage. Cheers HarjTT :O:cart: |

thanks
Raghu the emu was just in the sunset light, so no problem with iso 100. HarjTT if ISO 400 on FZ30-50 at 8/10 Mp provides, after resizing, as sufficiently detailed pictures as ISO 200 on 5Mp FZs, that's a good thing.... but I am not totally sure of that (must do some attempt). |
