I took some pics with my FZ50 in the evening using a 3 pod and manuel settings. Since I don't know how to post more than one pic at a time, I have to make several posts. This is with 0 zoom ( 35mm). A = 5,0 S= 8 sec

I focused on the little, white clock tower seen on center of pic 1010324_2. I reduced pic size to 3 Mb to gain the 21,4 x. And here it is. Not bad. Distance is 1 mile (1500 meters).

Then I focused on the center of the town, set the pic size back to 10Mb and full 12x zoom. Distance 1000 meters. A= 5,0 S= 6 sec. What do you think? Not bad at all ! As you understand I am very satisfied with the FZ50. All pictures have ISO = 100

The FZ-50 is a nice camera. It does have limitations but for an all around P&S camera it's hard to beat.
