My pocket carry camera is a ZS6. Recently I played with some aperture settings. This band was playing at a local watering hole. As you can see there is no stage. Which also means no stage lighting. The lighting is almost non-existant in this tavern. After playing with the aperture settings. I got some pretty decent shots.

Good shots considering the low light. The drummer definitely dressed down for the occasion!

Nice shots and the idea of changing aperture never occurred to me when using flash (I did mess around with flash intensity though). Will certainly give that a try.

Really great shots considering ambient light. I find low light shooting tough with my ZS6, but your shots clearly tell me it's more the user inability than the cam.

I wish that I hadn't deleted my first few shots. They would have made great comparisons. The band looked like blurry shadows.
