Does anyone know what the difference is between the L1 and the L1K? The L1 is available now at a considerably lower price than the L1K. Since I'm mostly interested in the Leica lens for use on my Oly E-500, I'm wondering what I would give up by buying the older L1 body.

L1 and L1 K are the same
K stands for black (colour)
a nomenclature used more with the FZ series where one has a choice between silver or black.

As far as I was aware the L1 is available in black - all models are therefore L1K's. Regards bodies, the E500 is actually the older model, the L1 being introduced about a full 12-18 months after the E500. Hope that helps.
